When you have tissue removed or a pap smear performed, your specimen will be sent to our laboratory for evaluation and diagnosis. The charge for this service is separate from your doctor's office visit charge.

A pathologist is a physician who studies body fluids and tissues to assist your primary care doctor in making diagnoses about medical problems you may have. Pathologists oversee laboratory testing ordered by primary care providers to monitor the health of patients.

If your doctor's office has provided us with insurance information, we will bill your insurance. If you do not see their payment indicated on your billing statement, please contact our business office with the information. We will be happy to submit a claim on your behalf.

After your claim is processed by your insurance carrier, you will receive a statement from Northwest Pathology. Your balance will include any deductible amounts as determined by your insurance carrier. If you are unable to pay the balance in full, you can contact our business office to arrange for a payment plan.

Northwest Pathology offers financial assistance to qualified patients in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations put forth by state and federal health care plans, as well as private third party payer contracts. We have an internal financial assistance program. Please contact our business office for the application, or you may print the application below.

We encourage you to review your results with your doctor. They will receive a copy of your report as soon as the results have been finalized.
